Change Management Advisory Services

It takes more than successfully completing the implementation of your new service delivery model to fully realize the intended benefits of your sourcing strategy. To achieve your strategy’s full-potential value, it is critical to effectively manage the organizational and individual changes that need to occur to maximize performance under the new operating model.

Navigating change requirements to drive acceptance, adoption and proficiency, to perform under the new delivery model, requires knowing both “what to do” and “when to do it.” Through our blend of change and domain expertise, practical change experience, and proven methodology and tools, TPI helps you to accelerate and sustain the changes needed to successfully execute on your sourcing strategy.

How We Work

We believe that the best approach to advising our clients to effectively manage change is based on the following principles:

  • Start Early: Change management must begin in the earliest stages of the sourcing project lifecycle and extend through, and beyond, the transition to the new operating model.
  • Use an Integrated and Holistic Approach: Change work must integrate into the overall program management and not be managed as a separate and distinct effort. Additionally, since most organizations are managing multiple changes at any given time, change efforts should be managed in a holistic way.
  • Leverage Strengths: Working collaboratively with our clients ensures that that their internal capabilities, organizational knowledge, relationships, and capacity, as well as TPI’s experience and expertise in navigating the change, are effectively leveraged.
  • Connect with Key Stakeholders: Establishing a Change Advisory Group comprised of representatives from primary stakeholder groups is beneficial to an effective change program. The Change Advisory Group allows the project team to obtain critical feedback on stakeholder needs and change acceptance at key milestones.
  • Build on Established Change Methodology: We build on a client’s established change methodology, where it exists, and supplement it with our base approach, best practices and toolset. Our intent is not to replace what may already work within the client’s organization, but to supplement and strengthen it.
  • Create Frameworks and Build Capability: The most successful engagements for TPI are those that build lasting capability within the client organization, allowing internal resources to support the change needs of future large-scale initiatives.

Drivers of Successful Change to Maximize Results

Effective change management requires that all of the following drivers are addressed throughout the project:

Our Services and Approach

TPI has a flexible approach — we can provide the right level of support to match the specific needs of the client for each of the phases of the sourcing lifecycle. Depending upon the client’s internal resources, capabilities and availability, we provide assistance in:

  • Educating leaders, managers and project teams regarding how change management impacts performance, and how to drive organizational and individual change to maximize results under the new model
  • Advising the client’s project team and/or internal change team on change management requirements and practices to effectively drive acceptance, adoption and proficiency to perform under a new service delivery model
  • Facilitating the assessment of organizational readiness and the creation of a comprehensive change strategy
  • Driving the change work as adjunct members of the project team, particularly when internal resources are scarce or have limited capacity
  • Developing specific deliverables, such as communication materials and staff transition guidelines, as part of the overall change plan
